Entering Dates into the PLATO Intranet Software
APPLICABLE TARGET: PLATO Intranet Applications, United Kingdom and Australasia.

There are many different ways you can enter a date into any date box in any of the PLATO Intranet Applications.

The most obvious approach is to simply type the date into the box as ddmmyyyy (e.g. 25122010).

However, there are various shortcuts that allow you to more quickly enter dates:

1. Enter the date of the month only (e.g. 25). This will automatically change to the 25th of the current month and year (e.g. in February of 2010 this would change to 25/02/2010).
2. Enter the date and the month only (e.g. 2502). This will automatically change to the 25th of February of the current year (e.g. in 2010 this would change to 25/02/2010).
3. Enter the letter T. This will change to today's date.
4. Enter the letter Y. This will change to yesterday's date.
5. Enter the minus sign followed by a number (e.g. -5). This will automatically change to the date 5 days ago.
